What happens if there is inclement weather the day of our event?
Weather in Alberta is unpredictable, and although hosting an outdoor wedding is often the most beautiful choice, it does come with a certain amount of risk. In the event of severe inclement weather, we can provide a tent that can be used as a protective shelter to host the outdoor ceremony portion*.
*At our discretion – and may incur an additional cost.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Our venue is wheelchair accessible, but please keep in mind we are in the country and there is no concrete (grass and gravel landscaping), making it a little harder to navigate in.
Do you offer overnight camping?
We do not offer any overnight stays, however we are happy to provide contact information on several campgrounds within a 5-10 minute drive from us including the Pigeon Lake Provincial Campground which rents out urts for a different camping experience. In addition, we are a mere 15 minute drive to the Country Inn at the Village of Pigeon Lake.
Do you offer bartending service?
Yes, for an additional fee, we will provide a licensed bartender for your event, however you will be responsible for providing the liquor and the liquor license. Your liquor license can be ordered online at:

Do you offer shuttle services to and from your venue?
Wondering about being able to enjoy a few drinks without worrying about you or your guests getting home safely? We have you covered! The Woven Willow has partnered with a shuttle service company that offers our clients a customizable, affordable and reliable chartered shuttle service for you and your guests – to and from our venue! Although this service incurs an additional cost, we’ve negotiated a reduced fee for our clients. Please ask us for details!
What payment options do you offer?
We accept personal cheques, money orders, bank drafts and e-transfer payments.
Do you offer catering services?
We do not offer any catering services on site, giving you the opportunity to plan your wedding reception with the hospitality experts of your own choice. If requested, we do have a preferred vendor list.
Can we tour the venue prior to booking our date?
Absolutely! We encourage everyone to book a tour by emailing info@thewovenwillow.com.
Can we supply our own decorations?
Although we supply a variety of rustic, elegant décor pieces, we want your day to have your own personal touch! If you have a specific color or décor item you would like included, just ensure we have it on hand several days prior to your event, and we will set up the décor you provide.
Do we offer the horse and carriage option as shown?
This is considered an ‘extra’ with an additional cost, however we work closely with a local vendor who offers horse drawn carriage rides. If interested, we can confirm availability and specific costs related to your event.
